JILL JAPPE

Jill has been practicing yoga, tai chi, and chi kung for decades. A former ski school instructor and Jazzercise junkie, Jill found relief from chronic back pain and work stress with tai chi and chi kung. Before moving to Minnesota, she attended up to 8 classes per week as a senior student at Colorado Tai Chi studio in Western Colorado. Jill is currently a member of Chinatown Tai Chi School here in the Twin Cities and resides at Schmidt Artist Lofts.

BEGINNING CHI KUNG (QIGONG)*

Become happier, healthier, and more creative with this simple mind-body-spirit practice. 


Dates/Times:

6 in-person guided sessions held weekly on Wednesdays from 3 to 4 pm, starting January 26, 2022

Location: Brewhouse, Multi-Purpose Room

 

Class size: 10

 

Cost: $80 for the 6-class series; Drop-ins $20/class
 

You'll learn a series of slow, gentle movements and breathing techniques that help you relax and focus. These ancient Chinese exercises cultivate and balance your internal energy for better health. Continuing this self-massaging practice for even 10 minutes a day will reduce your stress, release blockages, and help your body heal and function at its best.

 

This is an introduction to Chi Kung that is suitable for adults of all age groups and fitness abilities.  

​

Wear comfortable clothing and shoes that allow stretching and movement. No special equipment is needed.

​

*Chi (qi) is your vital energy. Chi Kung (Qigong) is pronounced "chee gung" and means energy exercises.

​

Masks are recommended; social distance is maintained by limiting class size. Policies shall be modified as COVID-19 guidelines change.
